European Architecture Student Assembly: Not yet decided

EASA is a pan-European Architecture Student Network, which was established in 1981. Every summer there is a get together in a different country, where for 14 days the students live and work together. This year Baumit was part of the action with a workshop in Lithuania.

Nida/Lithuania, August 2016 – Lectures, theoretical and practical workshops and all kinds of cultural and entertainment events, this is how EASA constituted this year’s event in Nida on the Curonian Spit in Lithuania. Nida is located practically on an ever changing sand dune on the Baltic Sea. From which also the year's motto of the Assembly derived: "Not yet decided." The participants analyzed the problems of the site and worked out possible solutions for Nida. "The Life Challenge 2016 once again provided impressive evidence that there are countless creative possibilities for designing façade surfaces and structures," said Robert Schmid, CEO of Baumit Beteiligungen GmbH, about a splendid evening "in which Europe's construction industry celebrated the victors in the manner that they deserved."

600 students from all over Europe participated in 30 workshops, cultivated cultural exchange and presented their daily creativity. Since Baumit is dedicated to creative research and development in daily life, it is only logical that the company acted as the main sponsor and organizer of a workshop.

Baumit-Day at EASA

Baumit organized a special workshop under the motto: "The mood of Nida". The students were familiarized with the possibilities of Baumit CreativTop and got a wall, 3 colors and a task: capture the mood of Nida. With great enthusiasm they went to work and the result could be seen (the cat is a symbol of the festival). It was followed by a presentation of history and Baumit Life Challenge by Baumit Marketing Director International Günter Neubacher. The students were encouraged to follow their visions without restrictions and be the next Baumit Life Challenge event with us. And finally, there was a big party with live music, body painting and snacks from the kitchen Baumit.
